W4 partners with “Les Femmes s’en Mêlent” women’s indie music festival for the 4th year in a row!

W4 is honored to be partnering (for the 4th consecutive year) with the Les Femmes s’en Mêlent (LFSM) music festival.

Celebrating the female indie music scene, Les Femmes s’en Mêlent is not simply a great excuse to dance, but also a crucial cultural statement, given that women musicians currently account for a mere 15% of musical programming at other European festivals.

With more than 50 concerts in Paris and across France, this year’s festival — which runs March 16th to April 18th — will bring together a great array of talent, from indie pop-rock amateurs to industry trailblazers.

For almost two decades now, the festival has been a launchpad for rising talent such as Catpower, Feist, Metric, MIA, Regina Spektor, and more recently, Christine and the Queens, who won two French “Victoires de la Musique” this year.

For its 18th edition, LFSM continues to offer an exclusively female line-up of exceptional quality. Talented women from all over Europe will perform alongside Solange-La-Frange, C.A.R, Mansfield.TYA and Roniia, to name a few. The festival’s watchwords for 2015? Diversity, quality and solidarity!

Check out the trailer for the 18th edition of the festival and catch a sneak peek of the talented line-up:

The first date to mark in your calendars? March 2nd : the festival launches with a party at the Swedish Institute in Paris! You’ll have the chance to (re)discover the radiant Robi, who will reveal a few songs from her sophomore album, « La Cavale », composed and performed entirely solo.

You can of course catch our W4 team at the concerts, revelling in the creativity of the remarkable women performers. Don’t hesitate to say hello — we’d love to meet you and discuss our work to empower girls and women around the world!
