THE CHALLENGE

Mother’s Day is celebrated in countries around the world, honoring women globally. However, in countries like Guatemala, many women face the harsh realities of poverty, violence, and discrimination. Friendship Bridge is working to counter these issues and create transformative change through its Microcredit Plus program, which combines microcredit, education, and health services to empower women to create better futures for themselves, their children, and their communities.

Most of the women Friendship Bridge works with in Guatemala are mothers, and every year on Mother’s Day Friendship Bridge gives its clients a gift in celebration of motherhood. This May, every client will receive a small gift, alongside the microcredit, education, and health services that are supporting them on their journeys to eliminate poverty for themselves and their  children.

Your donation will help more than 20,000 women in Guatemala celebrate Mother’s Day, and it will provide education and health services to continue empowering the women Friendship Bridge serves.

• $30 gives a Mother’s Day gift to 25 women in Guatemala, helping them celebrate Mother’s Day.
• $75 gives three women life changing Non-Formal Education for a year.
• $150 gives three women a new skillset to diversify their business.
• $500 gives five women preventive health services for a year.
