THE CHALLENGE
In recent years, many questions have been raised about the perception of women in society, which have been relayed by the media, social networks and personalities around the world. But these questions are drowned in an ocean of contradictory content and opinions that paint a rather pessimistic picture of the world. Overwhelmed with information, we nevertheless perceive positive changes on our scale as young students. More and more people are questioning and committing themselves to shaping a more egalitarian, respectful and sustainable society.
Building this ideal society requires a better listening and understanding of women. Why is this? Because they live their own experiences which are still little understood: gender discrimination, maternity, relationship to the body, access to education, etc.
What does it womanhood mean today? How do women feel about gender equality? Would we question ourselves in this way if we had been born elsewhere? Is our generation synonymous with lasting change?
The solutions we're proposing
We need to get those answers from our peers. We want to paint portraits of women with different sociological profiles, in order to better understand them and to convey messages of unity and openness. In this way, we will collect sociological data that will also allow us to analyse trends.
1. Our project
We are devoting 6 months to this project. We are starting it in France and then we have chosen to go to Asia, this incredibly rich and diverse continent in terms of development, political and religious systems, and the organization of society. This trip will allow us to collect the most complete data possible. This project is intended to expand and to continue after these 6 months.
2. Humanist reports: 20 Questions to Women
20 Questions to Women is a series of filmed interviews in which we ask the same 20 questions to all the women we meet. These 20 questions deal with the different themes of femininity: family, work, motherhood, education, body... We expect to conduct about 150 interviews during these 6 months.
We will also do a series of interviews to highlight the journey of some particularly inspiring women.
The answers collected will be edited and videoed in order to transmit in a neutral way what women live and think.
These videos will be broadcast on the platforms of the association 20 Questions to the World and relayed by our partners.
3. A sociological study
These interviews will also be an opportunity to collect sociological data. This will enable us to analyse the trends (behaviours, fears, feelings, etc.) that emerge from the answers to our 20 questions.
The women interviewed have an immense potential to convey messages of strength and optimism !

THE IMPACT OF GIVING
By contributing to 20 Questions to Women, you will enable women and men to discover, through our interviews, a more authentic way of looking at the world and being interested in gender issues. On the other hand, you are helping to provide women interviewees with a unique, non-political platform for expression that focuses on the experiences that shape them as women.
WHY FUND US?
This campaign, in partnership with W4, aims to finance the preparation and the smooth running of this project: audiovisual material, video training etc. All donations are welcome, even the smallest! The total budget is just over 12 000€.
Donations made on the W4 platform are tax deductible in France (tax receipt for 66% of the donation amount). For more information, please consult our FAQ.
WHO ARE WE?
We are two young students in their gap year, Diane and Capucine. We met in prep school: Diane is now a student in Master Peace Studies at Paris-Dauphine University and Capucine is a student in Master in Management at ESCP Europe.
