Fund Project Soar in a Box Empowerment Kits
THE CHALLENGE
Things are tough for teen girls in Morocco as they often face challenges accessing equal education and staying in school. When Moroccan girls drop out of school they become girl brides and girl moms.
Our mission at Project Soar is to empower teen girls to succeed in school and become leaders in their communities. In celebration of International Day of the Girl this October, we invite you to take part of empowering teen girls to overcome barriers for brighter futures!
The SOLUTIONS WE'RE PROPOSING
W4’s field partner, Project Soar, developed the Project Soar in a Box (PSB) program to help support girls from rural and semi-rural villages throughout Morocco to stay in school longer, become confident leaders, and lead more fulfilled futures.
Project Soar in a Box includes a 50+ hour empowerment curriculum + activities that empowers girls to know their Value, Voice, Body, Rights, and Path. The girl-centered program is led by a trained empowerment facilitator who leads girls through each workshop during the school year.
All the supplies facilitators need to carry out workshops + activities fit into one of our rolling duffel bags, meaning PSB can happen in any community!
Project Soar is now in over 30 locations across Morocco but there are far more girls that need to be reached. Our organization is expanding the PSB program to reach more girls and needs your help!
THE IMPACT OF GIVING
For Project Soar to reach more teen girls across Morocco we need your support!
When you make a gift, it will support:
- PSB empowerment kit supplies, which includes everything from pens and paper to jerseys and soccer balls
- Reflection journals for girls to write in at the end of each workshop
- BeGirl Period Panties, which allows girls to stay in school during their menstrual cycle
Exceeding our goal would mean that over 500 girls would have access to PSB during the school year.
“When you invest in girls, you invest in families.
When you invest in families, you invest in communities.
When you invest in communities, you invest in a nation
and then you can change the world!”
Together, let’s build a world filled with girl leaders.
